The Office of the Dean of Students serves as the vital bridge between the student body and the College Administration. Our mission is to foster a supportive environment that enables every trainee to excel both academically and personally.
Students Governing Council (SGC)
We believe in democratic representation and student leadership. Our Students Governing Council (SGC) is composed of 28 departmental representatives, elected by their peers (3 per department). The Executive arm consists of 9 dedicated members who meet regularly with the student body to provide feedback on service delivery and ensure student voices are heard at the highest administrative levels.
Student Welfare & Support
The Dean’s office provides essential support systems to sustain students through their academic journey. We offer guidance on student conduct, facilitate information regarding financial support, and provide mobilization during difficult times, such as illness or bereavement.
*Trainees are encouraged to internalize the Institution’s Rules and Academic Policies to maximize their opportunities here.
Guidance and Counseling
Mental and psycho-social well-being is paramount. Every academic department is served by a Departmental Counselor available during working hours. We are committed to providing continuous sensitization on the prevention of HIV infections, the management of alcohol and drug abuse, and navigating the unique social-economic challenges faced by today's youth.
Clubs and Societies
Holistic development happens outside the classroom. In the past year, we have seen significant growth in extracurricular activities, with six active clubs and societies currently operating. We actively partner with local and international organizations to interact with, train, and nurture our students' diverse talents.
Sincerely,
Ms. Mary Wachira
